Total Qualification Time (TQT)
Total Qualification Time represents the estimated amount of time a learner usually needs to complete the qualification and demonstrate the required level of achievement. This includes meeting all learning outcomes linked to the award.
TQT combines Guided Learning Hours with additional time spent on independent study. This may include preparation, research, self-study, and assessment activities carried out under direction but without direct supervision from a tutor or lecturer. Where a credit value applies, it is based on TQT, with one credit equal to ten hours of learning.
For this qualification, the Total Qualification Time is 120 hours, and the overall credit value is 12 credits.
Guided Learning Hours (GLH)
Guided Learning Hours refer to the time learners spend receiving direct instruction, supervision, or academic guidance from a tutor, trainer, or education provider.
As only the mandatory units are required, the Guided Learning Hours for this qualification are 48 hours.
