Course Overview

The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF) is designed for individuals who assess learners working towards vocational qualifications in real or simulated work environments. Assessment plays a key role in maintaining standards across education and training, and this qualification supports assessors in carrying out that responsibility with confidence and accuracy.

This course focuses on how assessment works within regulated qualifications. You will learn how to plan assessments, observe learner performance, review evidence, and make fair assessment decisions that meet awarding organisation requirements. Equal emphasis is placed on understanding assessment criteria and applying them consistently across different learners and contexts.

The programme also explains assessor responsibilities, professional conduct, and record-keeping expectations. You will gain clarity on how to provide constructive feedback, manage assessment documentation, and support learners through the assessment process while meeting quality assurance requirements.

By completing this qualification, you will be recognised as a competent vocational assessor, allowing you to assess learners in colleges, training centres, workplaces, and private training providers delivering regulated qualifications.

Kingston Open College advertises and resells this course in affiliation with delivery partners approved by the relevant awarding organisation. For information on course delivery and assessment, feel free to contact the support team.
